Disruptive innovation primarily refers to any sudden introduction of a technology that is potent to outweigh the prevailing innovations and consequently disrupts the present market place to create a niche for itself. The disruptive innovation often leads to breach of psychological contract, which is in general defined as a belief of mutual obligations existing between employer and an employee. The case study would thus facilitate in conceptualization of psychological contract and how innovative disruption can lead to violation of psychological contract and consequently develop changes in the organisational behaviour.
